This is a computer generated audio of my piece “The Last Lullaby” which the Austin Symphony Orchestra will be performing in April.
Here’s the description of the piece as written in the score itself:
A few words on “The Last Lullaby”
“The Last Lullaby” is about a mother and her infant child. For reasons that remain unnamed, the mother must leave her child forever, never to see him again. Because the child is an infant, he cannot understand the situation. However, he can understand being told goodnight as the mother has done several times. As the mother sings her bittersweet lullaby, she feels pain, love, and sadness. She also looks at her child and thinks of his innocent sweetness, and the adventures that she will never see him embark on.
Throughout her lullaby she wishes to say goodbye, but she can only say goodnight.
This is by far one of my absolute best pieces.
I hope you all enjoy, I poured a lot of my soul into this piece.
