I’m homesick at “home”
It actually hurts to smile.
That’s never happened like this before.
I can’t stay in Austin.
It hurts more and more each day, and I finally figured out why.
In Denton, I was getting somewhere. I was finding my place in the world. I was finding love. I was becoming an adult. I was becoming self dependent.
In Austin, I feel that I’m moving backwards. I’m losing my place in the world. I can’t find love here. I’m going back to being a kid. I no longer am self dependent.
In Denton, I’m away from the tortures that were holding me in Austin.
In Denton, my family didn’t fight. In Denton, I was becoming a true composer. In Denton, I could start a deeper connection with someone. In Denton, I honestly felt like an adult for the first time.
In Denton, I’m home.
