I just realized that I forgot the SamMusic tag on some of my music posts! oops!
Special Tumblr exclusive piece by me!!!!
This is my minimalist musique concrète that I have composed. It is titled “Slip” and is very repetitive and changes very gradually. The reason that it’s Tumblr exclusive is because Tumblr’s uploading limits actually lets me upload it, yay!
It is 10 minutes and 15 seconds long and may be described as “trippy” “weird” “wtf” and even “cool.”
I hope y’all enjoy my special music for y’all to hear!
P.S. you will need BOTH EARS.
Weird trippy piece I put together almost a year ago. Use headphones when listening. If you got time, take a listen to some of it, or for the daring, all of it.
*UPDATE* either my computer is dumb or the panning is off. Darn it.
Take a listen, and head over to http://soundcloud.com/themusicofsammelnick/light-of-blue to comment on it, “like” it, and such.
I use a program called Finale 2012. (Technically Finale 2012a because they released an update recently.)
Now, many people that use Finale will complain about the sounds, but not me. Why? I legally purchased my software instead of downloading it illegally. When you get it legally, you get fancy nice sounds, and it’s awesome. Finale is mostly a software made for printing music, but it offers a great playback of the music. It interprets the notation and plays it back, it’s awesome.
I absolutely love Finale, it’s a fantastic and powerful program.
Also, if you want to hear more of my music there are links on the side of my blog that link to my Facebook page, Soundcloud profile, and YouTube channel. The Facebook page has more music, Soundcloud has higher quality of selected pieces, and YouTube has a visualizer for a few pieces (I only had the demos of the software used, which I think I will eventually purchase for full use, not download illegally).
Thank you for asking! I love hearing people interested in my music. :D
Sorry that I haven’t kept y’all posted on the progress on this piece! You can find the missing demos (2 and 3) on the link as well.
I love how this piece is coming along, I hope y’all like it!
