OH MY GOSH YES.
The first time I heard it was kinda hilarious. My first music history class came with CDs and I had put them all on my iTunes. I was listening to my iPod on shuffle, and didn’t notice that it started playing. In fact, I didn’t notice that I didn’t hear much of anything and started hearing these weird electronic noises. I had NO CLUE what was going on. I thought everything from, “ARE UFOS REAL?” to “IS MY IPOD BROKEN?” Then I realized it was Poeme Eletronique and thought, “Well that was weird.”
