Rashida Jones and Jimmy Fallon’s Holiday Medley
You’re welcome.
Yesterday, photos of turkeys and pies took over Instagram as people celebrated Thanksgiving Day with friends and family. We saw record usage as Instagrammers shared photos of their loved ones and holiday celebrations.
Over 10 million photos that mentioned Thanksgiving-themed words in their captions were shared yesterday. For several hours throughout the day, more than 200 photos about Thanksgiving were posted every second. Overall, the day broke all Instagram records as we saw the number of shared photos more than double from the day before, making it our busiest day so far.
We’re thrilled to see people use Instagram to share their holidays. Whether celebrating with friends and family or sharing photos with them halfway across the globe, we’re excited to see the intimacy and immediacy of the Instagram experience bring us all closer together over this holiday season.
I had quite the surprise this morning. I never, NEVER thought I would hear my dad say, “Let’s order room service for breakfast.” And thankfully, I was not disappointed. Cinnamon vanilla french toast and earl grey black tea. I made the tea myself, and kinda burnt my tongue, oops!
I did a little composition and then we went to our Thanksgiving meal, brunch! It was a giant buffet with several little buffet stations. Sushi, seafood, breakfast, meat, desserts, kid’s buffet, and chocolate fountains! And there were ice sculptures at the stations! Like this ice vace!

Also useful for cooling and storing punch.
Also, my little sister was so adorable!

Scarf buddies! :D
We decided to see a fantastic artisan ice sculpture display called “ICE!” afterwards. After getting our large ponchos on to go inside and see the display, my sister realized how miserable she was gonna be in flip-flops and shorts. So, we went back to the hotel room to fix that and then came back. It’s usually 9 degrees inside this giant tent we were told, but there were some maintenance issues and it was a total of 3 degrees instead. Keep in mind that this is in Fahrenheit, it was well below freezing!!!
This year at the hotel, the theme was “Shrek The Halls” and the ice sculptures were all telling the story of a TV special. But still, the sculptures were amazing. I could only take so many photos before my fingers became painfully numb.

That’s one cool slide.
One room had ICE SLIDES!!!! It had two sets of slides, and this one was actually closed for maintenance, thus the 3 degrees temperature. We went down the other set, and it was quite fun I must admit.
Afterwards we walked around the indoor river-walk and I noticed that they had twelve reindeer sculptures placed around the river-walk. My favorite was definitely Vixen, the Retail Therapy Consultant.

Fabulous.
Since then I have been composing, internet surfing, and watching Charlie Brown on TV. I noticed so many inconsistencies during the shows. The lawn chair that Snoopy fights with was not set at the table, but Franklin ends up sitting in it. Then suddenly, all of the extra chairs just disappear. I think the table got smaller too. And when they zoomed in on Linus, these strawberry shakes magically appear. GAH!!!
Next up is A Very Gaga Thanksgiving, and I am very excited!!!!!
I hope y’all had and are having a happy Thanksgiving. And for those who aren’t celebrating, I hope y’all had and are having and awesome day!
Thanksgiving is here!
Thanksgiving is here!
When turkeys on plates
Will all disappear.
Balloons on TV
On the street, march along.
And quick, eat the rolls
Before they cool for too long!
But slow down for a moment
When we’re all ‘round the table.
Take a breath and relax
And be thankful while able.
So happy Thanksgiving
To you and everyone.
And don’t forget the feeling
After the meal is done.
